If you happen to be in Bulgaria and love to roam in high altitude alpine like environments Pirin is your best choice. With its jagged granite ridges, glacial lakes and ancient forests this wild mountain paradise will surpass your expectations.
Prepare for a spectacular 3-day long traverse of Pirin’s high summits, a programme tailored for the true mountaineers. You will not only summit peak Vihren (2014m) but also admire the beauty of Popovo lake and spend a night in a mountain hut 2500m above sea level.
We will show you the oldest pine tree in Bulgaria – 1300 years old, located 1800m above the sea. There is a high probability of encountering edelweiss flowers and hopefully a running herd of Chamois common for the area.
